WReNNZ  WILDLIFE  WORKSHOP

One day event - Saturday 25th May 2024

 

WReNNZ is New Zealand's national wildlife network, open to everyone interested in New Zealand wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release. Annually WReNNZ provides quality wildlife education focused on best practice rehabilitation, biennially hosting a national wildlife conference, alternating with a national wildlife workshop.

WReNNZ Educational Wildlife Workshop will be on Saturday 25th May at Auckland Zoo.

 

We have exceptional speakers covering a range of critical topics related to wildlife rehabilitation.

Morning Sessions

  • Biosecurity with Pauline Nijman - Best practices and protocols for maintaining biosecurity in wildlife habitats and facilities

  • Poopology with Lynn Miller - Exploring the significance of faecal analysis in wildlife research and conservation efforts

  • Initial health assessment with Mikaylie Wilson - looking at the full picture from the start and clinical signs of HPAI

 

Afternoon Sessions

  • Baukje Lenting MPI Veterinarian - HPAI (High Pathogenic Avian Influenza) - Understanding current challenges

  • Rachel Stanyer DOC Veterinarian - HPAI (High Pathogenic Avian Influenza) - Understanding current challenges

  • Pauline Nijman - HPAI strategies for prevention and management

Tickets & Member Discounts

Tickets sales will be available from the 6th May 2024 and WReNNZ members will receive access to discounted rates.

For the 1-day workshop ticket pricing is:

  • Non-Members $100

  • Members $60

Registration will close on the 20th of May 2024 unless tickets are sold prior.
